About Us :
St. Therese's High School (as Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School was then known) was started in 1924 by the Diocese of Shimla-Chandigarh.  On 8th December 1939, Sr. Gabriel and her two companions landed in Delhi at the request of Bishop Mulligan to take over the administration of the school.  From a small number of students, the school today has grown to strength of over 2600 students.
In 1950, extension was provided to cater to the Hindi-speaking children.  This branch came to be known as St. Francis Xavier's School.  As time passed by, Cambridge Examinations replaced Indian Schools Certificate Examination that lasted until 1975.  Later, the school opted for All India Senior School Certificate Examination.  In 1987, the two schools were amalgamated and became Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, imparting education from Kindergarten to class XII.  In 2001, we became one of the first schools in India to receive ISO Certification for QMS (Quality Management System) and EMS (Environmental Management System)   simultaneously.
The current trends in education and the unique thrust of our institution has called for a self introspection and evaluation of our education system which gave rise to certain changes that we discovered were necessary for greater progress, and to be at par with the global needs.  Our objectives are:
We provide qualitative teaching-learning process, with the best infrastructure
Our main thrust is towards the materially poor
    We foster critical thinking
Our education brings about social change
    We promote human values
We work towards environmental protection and conservation
This school is a centre for value education, responsible citizenship, compassion for the poor, empowerment of the girl child and integral development of the whole person.
In implementing the directives of the Congregation, Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Delhi - 6, has always given lead.  It has introduced exposure programmes for students by taking them to the slums of Old Delhi, for Outreach Programmes.  Nagle School is an extension for our Outreach Programme where children of materially poor are provided with free education.  We were one of the first schools to have ventured into Open Learning System by getting ourselves accredited to National Institute of Open Schooling.  Our purpose is to provide education to school dropouts, disadvantaged and under-privileged children.  We have since then been graduating students and making them self reliant.  It has been our endeavour and hallmark to take care of the under-privileged and provide them with education that will give them dignity and self respect.
To empower each P.C.S'er to be a woman of joy, strength and light is the aim of this school.
