Delhi CM presents Indira awards to best schools Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today presented Indira Awards-2012 to the best schools, outstanding teachers and meritorious students in the Capital. Ms Dikshit, while addressing a gathering of students, teachers and parents at Thyagraj Stadium in a function, said the implementation of Right to Education (RTE) would go a long way in empowerment of people across the country. Ms Dikshit presented the best school award, CM Trophy to Government Sarvodaya Co-ed Vidyalaya, Rohini Sector-8, Delhi. The CM Trophy carries an award of Rs 1 lakh and a citation. The Chief Minister also presented the best Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya award to Hari Nagar School and regional level best govt-aided schools to Arwachin Bharti Bhawan Secondary School, Balbir Nagar, Shahdara and IP Hindu Girls Sr Sec School, Jama Masjid Delhi. These three awards carry Rs 50,000/- each and a citation. Twenty eight teachers were given the best teacher award of Rs 11,000/- each and 315 meritorious students were given award worth Rs 2100/- each.
